How cheap is too cheap?

The Thanksgiving holiday is upon us and, of course, the shopping frenzy that happens afterwards. My wife gets caught up in this. She's up at 5 AM the day after Thanksgiving so she can be at (insert store name here) at 5:30 or 6 AM when they open.

The Thanksgiving Holiday retail catalogs are just entertainment for me. For example, Walmart had a DVD player for $29. Now, I wonder, how many DVD's will it play before it breaks? Better yet, you look at the Best Buy catalog and it is full of crap that is real cheap. In the small print, there are limits listed like 6 per store or 4 per store or some crap like that. I can only imagine the crowds...... hundreds of people lined up before dawn hoping to be the one of 6 people who can buy that (insert cheap piece of shit here) for 50% off.

Personally, my time is worth more than that. The day after Thanksgiving, I wake up, maybe puke a little because I ate too much the night before. Maybe play with my 2 year old daughter, maybe watch Jerry Springer or put on the radio. Generally, I sit back and relax.
